My Planting Plans: Make It From Scratch Gardening

Hi guys! It's been raining and only about 45 degrees here, so my seedlings are still waiting to be planted. I have a plan, though! I have three vegetable beds (well, one is half-full of strawberries). I'll also be planting in pots and empty spots along the fence and next to the house, and even among my flower beds. Here's my plan:

Bed 1
Tomatoes, with basil tucked in between them
Peppers
Marigolds
Green onions
Peas
Corn
Swiss chard
Parsley
Spinach
Beets
Lettuce
(The three above won't like the summer heat later, so I'll replace them with celery and fennel that I'll grow in their seedling pots for a while longer)

Bed 2
Cauliflower
Broccoli
Carrots
Beets
Yellow onions
Cilantro
Radishes
Marigolds
Sage
Nasturtiums
Calendula
Kale
Cabbage
Indigo
Romanesco
Celery
Fennel

Bed 3
Strawberries
Rhubarb
Dill
Garlic
Asparagus
Artichokes
Cauliflower
Fennel
Leeks
Chamomile
Shallots
Chives

Large Pots
Potatoes (I'll just dump them out to harvest, instead of digging and cutting some of them in half)
Rosemary
Indigo
Lemon mint (Please always plant mint in pots! It spreads like crazy and will become a weed in your yard if you let it loose)

Around the fence and among the flowers
Pumpkins
Dahlias
Celery
Parsley
Madder
Lemon balm
Cilantro
Dyer's Chamomile
Chamomile
Beans
-----
Corn
Squash
Sunflowers
Melons
Cucumbers
(This group grows well together, so they'll be mixed in the same area)
-----
Oregano
Cumin
Johnny Jump-Ups
Violas
Pansies
Zinnias
Lime basil

Whew! That's a ton to plant. This is going to be a fun summer and I can't wait to eat, drink, and use all the produce from these plants. Hopefully the sun will come out soon, or I'll have to share some gloomy photos next time.
